If you are a photographer, starting out or in the business for a while, those two sites are the place to be!!! I am so inspired and i learned sooo much just by watching their videos and reading the tipps!!!!

You sooo have to check it out!!!!



So guess what i am busy with right now, when not sitting over my contracts and other lists i have to put together..

But i also found some time to get a little shooting done.. my favourite model in the world gave me her honor and modeled for me!!!

i can't tell you how busy i am right now with starting my business.. so many pricelist's are right now flying around me and not speaking of all those little notes i wrote for things i still have to do! It is sooo much.. and all i wanted to do was to take pictures..

but deep deep inside of me.. i have to admit that i love it.. kinda.. cause i know where that works goes to.. my own little business. So in between all my chaos i got some time to work on some pics and to even shoot some! Nothing special.. just some family pics!!!



We had some fun at the pool in between all that rain that Iowa had..



and i could hardly get Ally back out of the water again.. she love the sprinklers!!!

i did it..

..finally after dreaming about it for years and talking about it for month, i opened up my own little photography business. And i am blown away about how easy it is. For me as a german it was "hmm excuse me.. where is the rest of the thousend forms i have to fill out.. and where do i have to pick up a number and wait in line for two days???" But i also have to say, i opened my business in smalltown Iowa not LA. That made it probably way easier as well.
But anyways.. i am excited. Right now i am slowly working my way thru vendors, pricing and contracts. That's the not so easy part.. i think! I kept the fun stuff.. flyer and business cards creating for the very last. Work first!
But i couldn't resist and already try some flyer or logo ideas out. Ally playing with her chalks on a sunny evening gave me the best opportunity.

Does somebody now got some adivce for me?? Something, somebody jumping into the business world of photography needs to know???

summer fun..

After all those storms here in Iowa we finally got some nice weather to enjoy!!
So of course Ally, Jon and me had to check out the community pool! And Ally is in love!

just the golf cart was not so much her friend... misses bumped her had on the steering wheele frequently!!!

Saturday evening on our way home from the south of Iowa, we got to see the most amazing sky i've ever seen.

Too bad we had to have such a bad storm and almost a Tornado in order to see something like this.

I was sooo blown away.. Jonathon had to stop the truck a couple of times so that i could get out and shoot some more pictures!

It almost looks like the heaven got opened and you could walk right into heaven!!
